  • How can anyone say he courted anybody? Nancy said"we won the election, we write the bills" and Obama pushed it through before anybody read it. If anyone remember part of his change was he was going to always give at least 5 days for that. That's really responsible and a broken promise.

  • To Leprechaun1230- I don't commend Obama for just doing something. You have to do the RIGHT thing. I'm not entirely sure what that is but it seems like no change for the good yet in Washinton. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and hoping he will really change. So far not yet.

  • I agree with almost all of this. The only part I think is wrong is saying dems forced people to take excessive loans. People need to take responsibility for them selves. If you sign the papers, it's YOUR obligation and no one should bail you out.

  • I am actually a Democrat but I disagree. I think the Republicans didn't vote for the bill because they know it won't work and is irresponsible. From now on I am not looking at Dem or Rep, just American. I actually talked to a few Rep senators and I trust some of them.

  • I don't think this little amount of money will help much. Especially since it will cost so much in the long run. I did what I could to stop the bill and I can only hope all Americans will speak up. I called senators, house members and local polititions. Even called the White Hose and e- mailed.

  • Just curious,( with respect) How would McCain have been worse than Obama? Maybe he would have given congress a few days to READ the bill that we will all be paying for forever. I don't think McCain would be perfect but I wonder how he could be worse.

  • I am sorry that things aren't fair. Sometimes people can't work and if it isn't their fault it must be awful. You are right that it doesn't matter who is running things unless...... they really CHANGE. This article started out by praising how fast Obama got this huge spending bill passed.
